Air Source Heat Pump Servicing in Leicester

Servicing heat pumps in Leicester

What the local housing and weather do to a heat pump between services.

Leicester is largely Victorian and Edwardian terraces - Clarendon Park, Highfields, Belgrave - with interwar semis further out at Evington, Knighton and Braunstone.

A mild, sheltered Midlands climate, which makes for comfortable design margins on a properly surveyed system.

Servicing a Leicester system

How often: Once a year. Most manufacturers make a documented annual service a condition of the warranty, so a missed year can leave the expensive parts of the system uncovered.
What we measure: Airflow, refrigerant, system pressure, delta T and flow rates, checked against the figures the system was commissioned at rather than against a general expectation.
The property side: The terraces are solid brick with bay windows and back additions, and the back addition is usually where the heat loss concentrates. Sizing from floor area gets this wrong every time.
What you get: A written report each visit, kept on file, plus care plan options that include cover for call-outs.

Do you service ground source and hybrid systems in Leicester? +

Yes. Air source heat pumps, ground source heat pumps, exhaust air heat pumps and hybrid heating systems are each serviced on their own plan, with their own time allowance on the day.
