Air Source Heat Pump Servicing in Nottingham

What we watch on a Nottingham system

Local conditions: Sheltered Trent valley climate - one of the easier winters in our coverage for a correctly sized system.
The housing here: Nottingham covers Victorian terraces in Sherwood, Carrington and Forest Fields, interwar semis at Wollaton and Aspley, and the villas of The Park.
On the day: A booked time slot rather than a morning or afternoon window, a full performance check against the commissioning figures, and a written report you keep for the warranty.

A Nottingham service, in detail

What an annual visit actually covers.

Component inspection. Fan bearings, heat exchangers, expansion vessels, valves and both sets of coils checked for dirt and wear.
Performance against commissioning. Airflow, refrigerant, system pressure, delta T and flow rates measured and compared with the figures the system was signed off at.
Filters and the magnetic filter. Cleaned or replaced, with the glycol checked where the system uses it.
Controls and wiring. Thermostats, controls and electrical connections tested, and the settings put back where the design intended.
The property side. The inner terraces are solid brick with back additions and bay windows, where heat loss concentrates. The interwar semis are cavity-walled and much more straightforward to bring to a low flow temperature.

FAQs

Do you service air source heat pumps in Nottingham? +

Yes. AuraNord services, maintains and repairs air source heat pumps for homeowners throughout Nottingham and the wider Nottinghamshire area, whether or not we originally installed the system.

How often should a heat pump be serviced? +

We recommend an annual service to keep your air source heat pump running efficiently, maintain manufacturer warranties and catch any issues early. Care plans are also available.

Do you repair heat pumps you didn't install? +

Yes. Our engineers service and repair most makes of air source heat pump across Nottingham, not only systems installed by AuraNord.

Do you service ground source and hybrid systems in Nottingham? +

Yes. Air source heat pumps, ground source heat pumps, exhaust air heat pumps and hybrid heating systems are each serviced on their own plan, with their own time allowance on the day.

Will servicing keep my warranty valid? +

Manufacturers commonly make a documented annual service by a qualified engineer a condition of the warranty, so a missed year can leave the most expensive parts of the system uncovered. We issue a written report after every visit, which is the record a manufacturer will ask for.
