We use Google Consent Mode v2. Before you choose anything, the page tells Google that analytics storage, ad storage, ad user data and ad personalisation are all denied. Google Tag Manager does load straight away, but under those denied defaults it cannot write a cookie, read one, or send an advertising identifier. Nothing is stored on your device and nothing that identifies you leaves the page until you choose. When you do choose, that decision is passed to Google and only the tags you allowed begin to store anything.
Your choice is kept in your browser’s local storage for 180 days, then we ask again. If you accept and later reject, we delete the analytics and advertising cookies that were set and reload the page — otherwise “reject” would be a lie.

We do not run all of these all the time — which ones are live depends on where we are advertising that month. All of them are held behind the same advertising toggle, so one decision covers the lot.
