Air Source Heat Pump Servicing in Sleaford

Servicing heat pumps in Sleaford

What the local housing and weather do to a heat pump between services.

Sleaford is a market town of brick and stone with a conservation area at its centre, postwar estates around it, and fen-edge villages beyond.

Flat, open and dry, with cold easterlies in late winter and little natural shelter for an outdoor unit.

A Sleaford service, in detail

What an annual visit actually covers.

Component inspection. Fan bearings, heat exchangers, expansion vessels, valves and both sets of coils checked for dirt and wear.
Performance against commissioning. Airflow, refrigerant, system pressure, delta T and flow rates measured and compared with the figures the system was signed off at.
Filters and the magnetic filter. Cleaned or replaced, with the glycol checked where the system uses it.
Controls and wiring. Thermostats, controls and electrical connections tested, and the settings put back where the design intended.
The property side. Village property here tends to be older, larger and solid-walled, which is where the survey changes the answer compared with the estate housing in the town.
