Pontefract systems, and how they age

A service is a measurement job, not a look-over.

Low-lying and sheltered compared with the Pennine side of West Yorkshire, with damp cold the main winter characteristic.

Pontefract has a Georgian core and conservation area, Victorian terraces around it, and former mining housing in the settlements nearby.

Why AuraNord

MCS certified

Accredited engineers servicing to manufacturer and industry standards.

All makes serviced

We maintain and repair most makes of heat pump, not just our own installs.

Efficiency & warranty

Annual servicing keeps efficiency high and manufacturer warranties valid.

Local & responsive

Own engineers covering the East Midlands, Lincolnshire and Yorkshire.

MCS CertifiedOur air source heat pump installations are carried out by MCS-certified engineers — the standard required for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant (£7,500 for homes on mains gas or £9,000 for homes on oil or LPG) and manufacturer warranties.

How a service visit in Pontefract runs

A booked time slot, not a morning or afternoon window.

We arrive at the time booked. One engineer, one visit, and the system history to hand if we installed it.

Measured checks. Airflow, refrigerant, pressure, delta T and flow rates taken and compared against the commissioning figures rather than eyeballed.

Clean and correct. Filters, magnetic filter and coils cleaned, glycol checked, controls and settings put back where the design intended.

The property side. Older town-centre property is solid-walled and often listed; the mining terraces are solid brick with small rooms. Neither is a candidate for sizing from floor area.

Written report. You keep the record, which is what the manufacturer will ask for if a warranty claim ever comes up.

FAQs

Do you service air source heat pumps in Pontefract? +

Yes. AuraNord services, maintains and repairs air source heat pumps for homeowners throughout Pontefract and the wider West Yorkshire area, whether or not we originally installed the system.

How often should a heat pump be serviced? +

We recommend an annual service to keep your air source heat pump running efficiently, maintain manufacturer warranties and catch any issues early. Care plans are also available.

Do you repair heat pumps you didn't install? +

Yes. Our engineers service and repair most makes of air source heat pump across Pontefract, not only systems installed by AuraNord.

Will servicing keep my warranty valid? +

Manufacturers commonly make a documented annual service by a qualified engineer a condition of the warranty, so a missed year can leave the most expensive parts of the system uncovered. We issue a written report after every visit, which is the record a manufacturer will ask for.

Do you service ground source and hybrid systems in Pontefract? +

Yes. Air source heat pumps, ground source heat pumps, exhaust air heat pumps and hybrid heating systems are each serviced on their own plan, with their own time allowance on the day.
