Matlock systems, and how they age

A service is a measurement job, not a look-over.

Cold air drains down the Derwent valley on still nights and the hillside plots are exposed - the design temperature here should not be borrowed from Derby.

Matlock is gritstone terraces on steep valley sides, Victorian villas from the spa era, and stone cottages in the Derwent valley villages around it.

Servicing a Matlock system

How often

Once a year. Most manufacturers make a documented annual service a condition of the warranty, so a missed year can leave the expensive parts of the system uncovered.

What we measure

Airflow, refrigerant, system pressure, delta T and flow rates, checked against the figures the system was commissioned at rather than against a general expectation.

The property side

Steep sites and solid stone walls. Access for the outdoor unit and the route for pipework are practical constraints here as much as the heat loss figure itself.

What you get

A written report each visit, kept on file, plus care plan options that include cover for call-outs.

Yes. Our engineers service and repair most makes of air source heat pump across Matlock, not only systems installed by AuraNord.

Do you service ground source and hybrid systems in Matlock? +

Yes. Air source heat pumps, ground source heat pumps, exhaust air heat pumps and hybrid heating systems are each serviced on their own plan, with their own time allowance on the day.

Will servicing keep my warranty valid? +

Manufacturers commonly make a documented annual service by a qualified engineer a condition of the warranty, so a missed year can leave the most expensive parts of the system uncovered. We issue a written report after every visit, which is the record a manufacturer will ask for.
